Lucas Studios One on One Personal Pilates
Lucas Studios offers One on One Personal Pilates Instruction.
One on One Pilates is suitable for everyone; males & females of all ages and fitness levels. It is particularly suited to those recovering from injury, the frail and elderly, or those with a low level of fitness or who feel for whatever reason they require or would prefer One on One instruction.
Each One on One Pilates course commences with an initial 2 hour consultation which is followed by 6 further one hour sessions (these sessions can be 1 per week for 6 weeks or alternatively you may wish to have 2 sessions per week for 3 weeks or 3 sessions per week for 2 weeks).
The One on One Personal Pilates Instruction starts with an initial 2 hour consultation that includes the following:
• Pre-exercise analysis to understand you current health status;
• Personal needs analysis to understand your fitness goals;
• Pre-exercise assessment to understand your current physical status;
• Full postural analysis including postural strengths, weaknesses and any anomalies;
• Passive and dynamic range of movement and static stability analyses to understand your current physical strengths, weaknesses and range of mobility;
• Blood pressure reading;
• Cardiovascular fitness test; and
• Initial Pilates instruction session.
Subsequent One on One 1 hour Personal Pilates sessions will be designed specifically for you, and will target:• Correct breathing technique;
• Proper postural alignment;
• Correcting postural imperfections;
• Controlled muscle activation and recruitment;
• Improved pelvic floor control;
• Strengthening core and other muscles, tendons and ligaments;
• Improving mobility (range of movement);
• Improving stability and balance;
• Fluidity of movement.
After each course a re-assessment of your physical status will be conducted and feedback provided.
Bookings, Pricing and Payment
It is a requirement that all courses be booked and paid for in full, prior to the first scheduled session.

What you need to bring to your One on One Personal Pilates sessions
All equipment such as mats and balls are provided.
You will need:
• Comfortable workout gear. You can perform mat work in gym shoes but it is often easier in socks or bare feet. Ball work is best done wearing gym footwear or bare feet (socks are too slippery for ball work);
• Clean towel large enough to lie on; and
• Water bottle if you think you need it.

Cancellation Policy
Payments for all One on One Personal Pilates Instruction must be made prior to your initial two hour consultation.
Should you wish to cancel the remainder of your One on One Personal Pilates Instruction a fee of 50% of the remaining value will be retained and the balance returned to you.
Rescheduling Policy for One on One Personal Pilates Instruction
Should you wish to reschedule a Personal Pilates session please contact us more than 48 hours prior to the session you require rescheduled, and we shall endeavor, as far as is practicable, to accommodate you at another more convenient time.
A requirement to reschedule within 48 hours of a scheduled One on One Personal Pilates session will incur a $20 fee.
