What is Personal Training?
Personal Training provides a One on One relationship between your trainer and you, whereby the trainer helps you achieve your fitness goals. Your trainer's role is to:

• Demonstrate;
• Assist;
• Guide;

• Inspire; and
• Coach;
you towards your fitness goals while providing a safe and effective training environment.

Lucas Studios - Our approach to Personal Training
We at Lucas Studios are passionate about health and fitness ourselves. We are dedicated to assisting you in the achievement of your goals. We provide a non-threatening training environment. Our staff are friendly, professional, personable and helpful.
Our training approach is based upon learning and practicing correct skeletal alignment and good posture, strengthening the core, and using resistance based exercise to achieve your fitness goals.
We currently offer One on One Personal Training in our Gungahlin based studio.
All new Personal Training clients start with an initial 2 hour One on One consultation that includes the following:
• Pre-exercise analysis to understand you current health status;
• Personal needs analysis to understand your fitness goals;
• Pre-exercise assessment to understand your current physical status;
• Full postural analysis including postural strengths, weaknesses and any anomalies;
• Passive and dynamic range of movement and static stability analyses to understand your current physical strengths, weaknesses and range of mobility;
• Blood pressure reading;
• Cardiovascular fitness and strength tests; and
• Initial personal training workout session.
We suggest subsequent One on One personal training sessions at least twice a week to achieve your fitness goals. Depending on your particular requirements we will design a program or course of programs specifically for you, that will be geared very much towards your own specific fitness goals, taking into account your current physical and health status and will, depending on your requirements, include:
• Correct breathing technique;
• Proper postural alignment;
• Correcting postural imperfections;
• Controlled muscle activation and recruitment;
• Strengthening core and other muscles, ligaments and tendons;
• Improving mobility (range of movement);
• Improving stability and balance;
• Improving cardiovascular fitness;
• Fat loss, muscle gain.
Re-assessment of your physical status is conducted on a regular basis and feedback provided.
Booking, Pricing and Payment
All courses need to be booked and paid for in full, prior to the first scheduled session.

Payments can be made by direct credit or cash prior to the first consultation.
We understand that not everybody will want or need 6 week increment Personal Training courses (for example, preparing for a sporting event or season over a period of months). We are happy to design Personal Training courses around your goals and time requirements.

Cancellation Policy
Payments for all courses must be made prior to your first One on One Personal Training consultation.
Should you wish to cancel the remainder of a course of Personal Training a fee of 50% of the remainder of the course value will be retained and the balance returned to you.
Rescheduling Policy for all Courses
Should you wish to reschedule a One on One Personal Training session please contact us more than 48 hours prior to the session you require rescheduled, and we shall endeavor, as far as is practicable, to accommodate you at another more convenient time.
A requirement to reschedule within 48 hours of a scheduled One on One Personal Training session will incur a $20 fee.
